Resident, Spring 2016
Q1: What was your favorite project to work on?
My favorite project that I had the opportunity to work on was globe in the dark for Nina's King Me. I loved how everyone worked so hard to make a night to remember, not just for the people who attended but also for Nina who put a lot of herself into the gallery to make it her own.
Q2: What attracted you to be a part of People’s Liberty?
What originally attracted me to People's Liberty was the fact that I've never heard of any organization like it before. I knew that it would be something special that I could take with me after the three month residency was up.
Q3: Describe your PL experience in 3 words.
Educational, rewarding, family
Q4: What is/was your favorite lunch break treat?
Pho Lang Thang
Q5: Quick question. If you could invite anyone, no boundaries, to be a speaker at PL, who would it be?
J.K.Rowling. I grew up on her books and always tend to go back to them as a source of comfort.
I'm not currently doing anything too exciting; I work in supply chain for a manufacturing company. I'm realizing that my interest lies in operations so I'm hoping that I can gain experience where I currently am and take it with me to work with non-profits in the future. However, now that this year is staring to settle down at work I am looking for more volunteer opportunities to keep my feet in the non-profit community.
