Project: Professor Lorenzo’s Carnival of Mysteries
Grant/Date: 2019 Globe Grantee Recipient
Bio: John Bromels is an all-around puzzle addict, from crosswords to wordfinds to sudoku. Originally from Delaware, John is a Cincinnati transplant who works as a freelance writer and actor. He is joined by team members Jeremy Dubin, Director of Creative Education at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, and Project Grantee alum Mike "Auggie" Augustine of The Chronograph/CXD.
Project: Professor Lorenzo’s Carnival of Mysteries will transform the Globe storefront into a destination that will engage participants. Puzzled Location will house an alternate reality game (ARG) that will integrate hidden (and not-so-hidden) puzzle elements into the design of the space and will also offer participants the opportunity to participate in "quests" that take them out into Cincinnati locations such as Findlay Market, the Streetcar, and OTR, returning to the Globe storefront when these "quests" are completed to unlock additional hidden content.
This project is in progress. Check back for updates.
