Resident, Summer 2015
Q1: What was your favorite project to work on?
Sam's parklet project. It was incredibly fun to help realize Sam's idea with her direction. When pedestrians began to engage with the set-up it was incredibly rewarding, and I feel fortunate to have been a small part of that.
Q2: What attracted you to be a part of People’s Liberty?
The people, ha: everyone on the PL team worked in the same room, residents were included in discussions regarding the organization, and the dedicated/full-time Team were excellent at what they did while being risk-takers—it's an intense career move to be highly experimental, hands-on, and to develop an entire organizational structure and materials within a limited timeline of 5 years.
Q3: Describe your PL experience in 3 words.
Brick and kudzu.
Q4: What was your favorite lunch break treat?
The Belgian waffles. Still feeling guilty about the amount I ate to be honest.
Quick question. If you could invite anyone, no boundaries, to be a speaker at PL, who would it be?
Blair Schoenborn, Healthy Food Financing Specialist at Bridgeway Capital.
