Q1. What was your favorite project to work on?
D.O.I.T. We wanted to open PL up beyond “just” grantmaking (as if that isn’t enough!) D.O.I.T. was our first project as residents, and it really set the tone that philanthropy, pride in your city, and opportunity is all inclusive. We were also given a majority of the creative reign: it was nice to see that our talents and voices were going to be utilized right from the get go.
Q2. What attracted you to be a part of People’s Liberty?
I loved doing a type of grant work had never been done
before– granting to individuals and trusting them to use their platform and money to make an impact. I found it inspiring and a little mysterious; and I wanted to be a part of activating a new kind of philanthropy.
