The Green Store: Zero Waste Workshop

  • Friday, July 7, 2017

Join our 2017 Globe Grantee Joi Sears at The Green Store on Friday, July 7 from 3pm–5pm for a Zero Waste Workshop.

The average American produces almost 1,700 lbs of waste per year. Not only is it putting a strain on our natural resources, we are literally throwing our money into the trash.

Zero Waste is more than a fad, it's a lifestyle. It's all about redesigning our lives to produce as little waste as possible.

And, the Green Store is bringing in the best to help us to do just that. First, Christine Liu, a popular zero waste lifestyle blogger from San Francisco is going to give us insight into her minimalist lifestyle while teaching us how to make our own DIY toothpaste.

Next, Miami based designer Arlyn Hernandez is going to teach us about how she turns trash into treasure through upcycling furniture into high-end goods.

There will be snacks and giveaways.
