When Tamia Stinson moved back to Cincinnati, she noticed that her fellow image makers - the photographers, wardrobe stylists, makeup artists, hair stylists, models, creative directors, and fashion designers moving away to find work in the industry. With cities like New York, Chicago, and LA known for their glamour, fashion industry, studios, and beautiful venues it’s no wonder people gravitate there. But opportunity abounds in Cincinnati, and that’s precisely what Tamia is endeavoring to prove throughout her fellowship year.
Tamia’s initiative Tether, will make it possible for image makers to create and thrive in Cincinnati. This platform will allow local talent to meet and collaborate together as well as create a place (digitally) for local agencies and organization to find talent in their own backyard. Right now, Tamia is simultaneously collecting artwork for the Tether print sourcebook and managing networking events like a monthly happy hours, workshops, and breathtaking photoshoots that brings image makers together.
