Meet Our Spring 2018 Residents
Welcome Paisley Stone (design) and Marcus Donaldson (communications), PL’s newest team members. Here’s the rundown from their first-day chat:
Q: What’s your background?
PS: My background is in graphic design. I attended The University of Cincinnati in the DAAP program with a focus in graphic design, specifically print design.
MD: I studied public relations at Kent State University. I’m a writer, and much of my experience is in content strategy and creation.
Q: What about People’s Liberty excites you most?
PS: What excites me the most about People’s Liberty is the notion of giving grants directly to individuals in the city so anyone’s passion project can become a reality.
MD: The sense of community among everyone I’ve met at People’s Liberty is incredibly obvious. I’m excited to now be a part of that community.
Q: Favorite neighborhood in Cincinnati? Go!
PS: Clifton Gaslight.
Q: How do you hope to contribute to a changing Cincinnati?
PS: I hope to take an active role in the exciting new events taking place in the city, both as an attendee and a planner.
MD: I’m hoping to help lift up the city’s new voices and ideas.
Q: What historical figure would you invite on a coffee date?
PS: Katharine Hepburn has always been a hero of mine.
MD: Prince Rogers Nelson.
Q: Who are you and what do you do outside of work?
PS: I’m a cook and an occasional star on the karaoke stage.
MD: I’m a son, brother, friend and poet.
Q: How do you want to have changed as a result of this residency?
PS: I hope to be better connected with the “behind the scenes” community of Cincinnati which helps bring change to the city.
MD: A friend told me People’s Liberty would teach me “how to work.” I’m excited to be among a group of doers, and I hope my new teammates’ radical productivity rubs off on me.
Paisley and Marcus are excited to get to work and engage with the community. Stop by People’s Liberty and say hello!
