Next Saturday is 5/13, a set of digits representative of one way Cincinnatians identify what home is. It’s no wonder our CEO Eric Avner chose this day to celebrate those who decided that Cincinnati is the place to be. Guests attending the event can expect a token of thanks for laying down roots in the Queen City, though guests will have to show up to see exactly what that token is. We sat down with Eric this week to pick his brain about Cincinnati By Choice.
Why a celebration? We think May 13th (AKA 5.13) should be recognized as “Cincinnati Day” to celebrate our city and her people. This is hopefully the first of many ways we do that.
Where are some of your favorite spots in Cincinnati? Eden Park, the view from the top of Sycamore Street; in the stands at FC Cincinnati games.
If not Cincinnati, where would you decide to call home? Vancouver, Montreal, Minneapolis, New York City, Seattle, or San Francisco. But I'm not leaving.
How long have you been in Cincinnati? I moved back to Cincinnati in October of 1996, so almost 21 years ago.
Bengals or the Reds? No comment.
